Arctic Frontiers Abroad is discussing new cross-border collaboration opportunities in Oulu in early September

The event will be held in the Oulu City Theater and over the two days many panel sessions and keynotes will be held about the Arctic region and its current topics. The event will focus on discussions surrounding energy, security, and the impacts of cross-border business development, innovation, and investment partnership in regional integration and economic growth. 

The theme of the event is “New Solutions for Cross-Border Cooperation in Energy and Security”.  The Artic Frontiers Abroad event in Oulu is designed to promote stronger cooperation and new collaboration opportunities between the northern areas of Finland, Sweden and Norway. The event brings together policymakers and key stakeholders with experts and regional players to address and discuss Arctic matters together. 

Arctic Frontiers Abroad builds on the larger Arctic Frontiers conference and the significant discussions and topics brought up there. Arctic Frontiers is a non-profit organization with the goal of working as a catalyst for decision-making and networking while mobilizing key voices of science, policy, business, and local Arctic communities. The organization aims to turn knowledge into action to promote the benefit of the Arctic region. 

The event in Oulu is organized in collaboration together with the city of Oulu, Arctic Frontiers, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Norwegian Embassy in Helsinki and the Embassy of Sweden in Finland.
