Applications for individual places in Oulu Art School for children and young people is open from August 7–18

The multidisciplinary Oulu Art School is a basic art education institution managed by the city of Oulu. Children and young people between the ages 3–21 are educated in the fields of dance art, theater and circus art, and visual art. The youngest children between the ages 3–7 can start in different mixed art groups and participate in variable multidisciplinary productions.

Applications are open August 7–18, 2024 

New students can apply for Oulu Art School online during announced application periods. Studying in Oulu Art School does not require earlier experience, except for some dance and circus groups to which the students are chosen based on skill level. New beginner groups are launched every year, so everyone gets to participate. 

Apply for and read more about the Oulu Art School art education on the Hellewi online service (in Finnish). Students are chosen for the groups in order of application and it is possible to be waitlisted.
