The Oulu Swimming Pool in Raksila closes on March 1, 2025

The Oulu Swimming Pool in Raksila closes doors on Friday February 28, 2025, for the final time. The facility can be used for swimming and exercise on Friday until 21.00, after which customers will no longer be admitted in. Swimming and exercise time ends at 21.30.

After closing, the building, that’s technical life has reached its end, will be emptied and demolished. The demolition begins with enclosing the plot on April 1, 2025. The facility will be fully demolished by December 10, 2025. Purku-Piha Oy has been chosen as the demolition contractor. The parking areas remain in public use until further notice.  

The Oulu Water Sport Centre will be constructed on the same site. It will be finished in 2029. Swimming pools in Raatti, Linnanmaa and Vesi-Jatuli in Haukipudas remain open as normal.
