City of Oulu’s Communications
The duties of the city of Oulu’s Communications Unit are to support the city’s administration and the city’s development into an international leading centre of excellence of the north.
The central duty of communications is to promote the well-being of Oulu’s citizens by offering information about the city’s activities, services, plans and objectives. This creates prerequisites for participation and influencing opportunities in the city’s operations as well as increasing dialogue and openness in the processing of matters. The city communicates without political emphasis.
Oulu’s status is reinforced with communications by making Oulu and its strengths known elsewhere in Finland and abroad.
