Summer opening hours at libraries

Summer brings changes to the opening hours of many libraries 4.6.–28.8.2022. Some of the libraries will be closed or open for self-service use only.

Changes in opening hours:


Main Library: open Mon–Fri 8:30–20:00, Sat 9:00–15:00, Sun 12:00–16:00

Libraries of Haukipudas, Kiiminki and Oulunsalo: open Mon–Thu 8:30–19, Fri 8:30–17:00, Sat–Sun closed.

Asema library closed 4.6.–9.8.

Hiukkavaara library closed 24.6.–9.8.

Self-service use only:

Libraries of Jääli, Kello, Martinniemi, Pateniemi and Puolivälinkangas 4.6.–9.8.

Kastelli library 27.6.–7.8.

Libraries of Kaukovainio, Yli-Ii and Ylikiiminki 27.6.–31.7.

Bookmobiles Kauno and Onneli are on a summer break 27.6.–7.8.

All OUTI Libraries will be closed on Tuesday 7.6. due to the library system update. Self-service libraries will also be closed. Online services and Northern eLibrary services that require a login will not be available starting on Monday 6.6. at 21:00. Libraries will be opened on Wednesday 8.6. at 12:00. No due dates or reservations’ last pick-up dates will expire during the closure.

On the day before Midsummer’s Eve, 23.6., libraries will open by 10:00 and close by 17:00. The libraries are closed on Midsummer’s Eve, Friday, 24.6. and Midsummer Day, Saturday, 25.6., apart from self-service libraries which are open throughout the Midsummer weekend.
