The Oulu Days City Festival offers diverse activities from September 6–8, 2024

The city festival Oulu Days from September 6–8, 2024, offers a lot of programming during the three days in the city centre and neighborhoods. The events are primarily free of charge. 

The Welcome to Oulu Festival is organized on Friday September 6 at the Mannerheiminpuisto Park. At the event, you can explore the services of over 50 operators in the Oulu region. Oulu’s competence and diverse culture will step onto the stage. The event lasts from 13.00–18.00 and is free of charge and open to everyone. 

The Saturday of the Oulu Days event weekend is traditionally the Oulu Day. On the Oulu Day on Saturday 7, the city is requesting people to fly their flags. The city of Oulu will raise flags in select locations in honor of the Oulu Day.  

The Oulu Day’s programming includes the traditional Fanfare and Declaration at 12.00 on Saturday September 7 at the City Hall’s porch. The Oulu Day speech will be given by the City Council’s spokesperson Jarmo Husso

As is tradition, Oulu’s youngest and oldest citizens will be celebrated during the Oulu Days. The celebration will be held on Sunday September 8. 

There are over one hundred event programs. For example, Flavor Adventure, Park Movie Picnics, Tar Party, Raksila’s 100th anniversary events, Uleå Block Party at Valve, Roller Skate Disco in Rajakylä, Culture Track, Kolmiotalo’s 100th anniversary, Vesala’s Venetian Party in Ylikiiminki, Jääli-Koiteli Hike, and more.

The Oulu Days are expected to attract a lot of visitors. The Oulu Days have been celebrated since 1962.
