Digital skills are an important part of multiliteracy.
- The Oulu City Library’s Digital Makerspace allows you to explore new technology and digital small-scale production.
- STEAM in Oulu is an innovative community in Oulu which is formed by early childhood education, basic education and upper secondary education units that cooperate with professionals and organizations of many fields. The principle is cooperation as well as experiential and communal learning. The operations are developed by other city operators such as the Museum and Science Centre, Oulu City Library, the Oulu2026 project and Oulu Cultural Services.

Digital support
Digital support means guidance in using online services and equipment, such as mobile phones or computers. The goal is to teach digital skills so that people can utilize online services independently and securely. Digital support is offered by many operators in Oulu.
- Libraries began their digital guidance services in 2002.
- Digital skills guides started working in libraries in 2017.
