Reading and Library Cooperation Steering Group
The city of Oulu’s Educational and Cultural Services’ Reading and Library Cooperation Steering Group is responsible for the Lukevin kaupunni Campaign. The group steers the totality of the city of Oulu’s literacy work, Literacy Strategy, European Reading Capital of Culture and Oulu Lukee. The goal is to develop and coordinate the literacy skills of citizens of different ages.
The Steering Group also promotes the literacy cooperation of libraries with early childhood education, basic education and upper secondary education. Its task is to maintain and reinforce the structures of literacy work. The Steering Group also monitors the implementation of early childhood curriculums and school curriculums from the perspective of information skills, multiliteracy and reading hobbies.
