Projects that promote employment 

The employment services implements, funds and acts as a cooperation partner in several different projects that promote employment. 

Projects that promote employment strive to improve the employment opportunities of people in different life situations, to increase their wellbeing, and promote their societal participation. The projects strive to decrease prolonged unemployment and implement the promises of the youth guarantee.  

Project work support and implements the goals of the Oulu City Strategy 2030. Employment projects directed for job seekers are funded with the employment appropriation.  

The city of Oulu’s own currently active employment projects. 

On top of the city’s own project work, the employment services partners and funds several employment projects run by other organizations. The projects supported by the city of Oulu belong into the City Board approved Työllä hyvinvointia Development Portfolio (in Finnish).
