Information about Employment Services

Employment services will become municipal services on January 1, 2025

From the start of the coming year, employment services – TE services – will become the duty of municipalities as the state’s Employment Service Offices will be discontinued. Employment services will become a part of the basic services of each municipality, just like education and urban environment services for example.

Employment services include guidance and advice for individual and business customers about job search and recruitment, as well as teaching relevant skills.

We will organize employment services together with Hailuoto, Ii, Kempele, Liminka, Lumijoki, Muhos, Pudasjärvi, Tyrnävä, Utajärvi and Vaala. Together the municipalities form the employment area of the Oulu region.

What does this transition mean?

If you are a customer of employment services, you do not have to do anything even though your service provider changes at the turn of the year. We will announce possible changes on our website and will contact you personally if needed.

When looking for work or employees, you must register at Job Market Finland which serves as a meeting place for work and workers. In Job Market Finland service, you will find information about employment, services and open job vacancies. When you log in to Job Market Finland, you will be directed to create a job search or place of employment profile. Job Market Finland offers comprehensive instructions for its services as well.

When you need employment services for the first time, you can always turn to BusinessAsema where you will be helped and directed. You can find further information and direction for job search and employee search on Job Market Finland.
