Plot Divisions
In the new detailed plan areas of the city of Oulu, a city block is divided into plots by a binding plot division plan. Plot division can be approved in connection with or separately from the detailed plan. Regarding old detailed plans, the need for a binding plot division plan in the former Haukipudas, Kiiminki, Oulunsalo, Yli-Ii and Ylikiiminki areas will be resolved on a case-by-case basis. In plot divisions, we try to take property boundaries into account as much as possible.
Plot division determined in the first detailed plan of the area is usually prepared at the city's expense. If a landowner applies for a plot division change, it will be carried out at their expense. See the service fees, section 2.2 (in Finnish).
Plot divisions and plot division changes are applied for in the electronic application service. You can also apply with a form that is delivered to the Cadastral Surveyor Services either by mail or by email. Before submitting the application, it is a good idea to contact the Cadastral Surveyor Services and find out the requirements for plot division determined in the detailed plan.
Plot division plan comes into force when a public notice has been made about the decision to approve it and none of the parties involved has appealed the decision. Preparing the plot division takes 2-3 months from application to approval.
A map of the plot division will be prepared.
