Suggest one of Oulu’s operators to win the Equality and Non-Discrimination Special Recognition Award

The Equality and Non-Discrimination Committee grants a special recognition award each council term for a local operator in Oulu which has greatly promoted equality and non-discrimination with concrete actions and development work. In 2024, citizens, associations, communities and businesses as well as city staff and representatives can suggest a winner for the Equality and Non-Discrimination Special Recognition Award. 

The Equality and Non-Discrimination Special Recognition Award is awarded to one of Oulu’s operators. The criteria of the award are that the operator follows the city of Oulu’s values: boldness, fairness and responsibility, as well as promotes activities that follow the equality and non-discrimination legislation in Oulu. The operator must be an association, community or business in the city of Oulu, or one unit or sector of the city of Oulu. The Equality and Non-Discrimination Committee chooses the winner of the Equality and Non-Discrimination Special Recognition Award during their meeting in November.
