Renovation of the intersection of Jääsalontie and Paperitehtaantie begins

The city of Oulu is renovating the intersection of Jääsalontie and Paperitehtaantie. The construction site is prepared during the first week of July and construction begins on the second week of July. The intersection will be finished in September.  

During the construction, lanes will be rearranged, new pedestrian paths will be built, and the intersection’s rock and asphalt surfaces will be renewed. The construction also includes the renewal of street lighting on Jääsalontie, on the Jääsalontie pedestrian path, on Lumijoentie and Tyrnäväntie as well as on Nuottasaarentie between Jääsalontie-Limingantie.  

The construction work causes changes to traffic arrangements. Due to the construction vehicles working in the construction site (excavators, trucks), people moving in the area should exercise caution. Most of the construction work is done on weekdays between 6.00–18.00 and can cause occasional ground shakes and noise. Interruptions to traffic caused by the construction will be announced beforehand. 

The contractor is Oulun Maa- ja Vesirakennus Oy, and the construction consultant is Welado Oy.
