MAL – Land use, housing and transport agreements
MAL agreements are land use, housing and transport agreements that the state makes with Finland’s largest urban regions. The agreements support the growth and development of Finland’s largest urban regions.
The land use, housing and transport MAL agreement 2024–35 between the Oulu Urban Region and the state was signed on December 13, 2024 (in Finnish). The state’s commitment to the MAL agreements was reinforced with the Government’s decision on principle on November 28, 2024.
The measures of the 2024–2035 MAL agreements are implemented in the years 2024–2027. The progress of the agreement’s actions is monitored in cooperation with the state and urban regions.
