The 50th anniversary year of comprehensive schools will be launched at the Welcome to Oulu festival! The opening remarks will be delivered by the Director of Basic Education and Youth, Marjut Nurmivuori, followed by the release of the anniversary publication edited by Pia Kaitasuo. Finally, there will be a special anniversary song and a group dance!

Laulukudelmia is a children's music project by Hiski Pajuniemi from Oulu. Known from Pentti Punkin Syntymäpäivät as well, this children's musician and songwriter uses his voice, guitar, woodwinds, and synthesizer in his solo performances. With the help of his looper, Pajuniemi weaves these musical threads into multi-layered song tapestries that captivate both children and adults alike.

Haukantytöt is a cover duo formed by two sisters, offering delicate interpretations of Finnish pop music, touching songs, and atmospheric moments with piano accompaniment.

Tuomo Pee is a rapper/singer from Oulu. Tuomo Pee's sound is touching, melodic, and profound. His catalog also includes some banging rap tracks - something for everyone! During his career, Tuomo Pee has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the biggest names in Finnish rap, such as Iso H, Timo Pieni Huijaus, Asa, and Tuomas Kauhanen.

Martti "Mara" Mäntyniemi, who has been playing in the band Zero Nine since 1980, will perform as a troubadour at the Welcome to Oulu festival. His repertoire consists of his own compositions.

Saastamoiset is a rock band from Oulu. In the band's music, you can face life's huge failures from a positive perspective, but without any hope that things could be better someday. Genuine, imperfect, but happy music straight from the hearts of Saastamoiset band members to your ears.
