When visiting elderly people or those in risk groups, please follow these guidelines
Christmas is approaching and many are wondering how to spend it safely with the elderly and those in risk groups. Following the recommendations for visits this Christmas is particularly important due to the epidemic situation.
When visiting elderly people or those in risk groups, please follow these guidelines.
- Visit the elderly and those in risk groups only when healthy
- You can test yourself with COVID-19 rapid antigen test before the visit
- Visit in small groups
- Take care of safety distances
- Wear a face mask
- Take care of hand hygiene
- Avoid shaking hands, hugging or other close contacts
The City of Oulu recommends that visits to the elderly and those in risk groups should be avoided for 10 days after attending an event (public events, hobby activities, restaurant) where there is an increased risk of coronavirus exposure or you have arrived from abroad within 14 days.
Visits to housing services and care units of both the city and private should be avoided for the time being. It is important to follow the instructions and recommendations given by the staff to ensure that visits are safe.
