Next week, on april 28, the voting of the city of Oulu’s participatory budgeting begins. The citizens get to decide by vote which ideas that the citizens came up with will be realized.

The city of Oulu’s Participatory Budgeting vote opens on the Monday of the coming week, April 28. In Participatory Budgeting, you get to decide which ideas given by Oulu’s citizens the city will implement. In January, Citizens of Oulu came up with ideas for how the city will spend 240 000 €. 

There are many diverse ideas all over the city up for vote. Everyone will surely find the right proposal for them. 

The voting period lasts for three weeks, from April 28 to May 18. 

Voting takes place on the Osallistu Oulu website 

All voting proposals and their budgets will be published on April 28 on the Osallistu Oulu website. Voting also takes place on the same website. All citizens of Oulu over 13 can vote.  

Voting is done online with bank authorization. Students in Oulu’s schools can vote with their school accounts. More detailed voting instructions are found on the Osallistu Oulu website when the vote opens. 

Ideas of our citizens have been implemented for the benefit of our citizens with over half a million euros since 2018.
