Oulu’s New Year’s celebration includes a fire performance – the event is hosted by Marco Bjurström

The New Year is celebrated in the city of Oulu at Rotuaari in an event for the whole family which includes dance, acrobatics, magic and music. The evening culminates with an impressive fire performance. The event is hosted by Marco Bjurström.  

DJ NiceRice will bring the New Year attitude to the Rotuaari Stage starting from 19.30 while New Year’s greetings collected from the citizens of Oulu are presented on the large screen. The primary event will begin at 20.00 with the city’s address which will be given by the City Council’s Chairperson Jarmo J. Husso as is tradition.  

Dancing and daring acrobatics to the audience will be offered by the Backpain Dance Crew and Circus Artist Jukka-Pekka Matero. Magician Elias Kvist will amaze Oulu with an impressive magic show. Jean Sibelius’s Finlandia hymn will also be heard a capella, performed by tenor Joonas Varjus. The celebration will be culminated by a thrilling fire performance produced by Tuluxxia.
