Libraries’ summer opening hours 1.6.–1.9.

The summer season of public libraries in Oulu begins on Saturday, 1.6., and ends on Sunday, 1.9. Many libraries have shorter opening hours, and some are only open for self-service use during the summer. You can see the library opening hours on the library’s website or the OUTI Web Library

Pekuri Library is open from Monday to Friday 9–20, and on Saturdays and Sundays 10–15.

Hiukkavaara Library has self-service access only 2.–20.6. Self-service hours are 8–20 from Monday to Friday. Library is completely closed 21.6.–4.8. Reservations can be picked up from Myllyoja Library strating 25.6.

Jääli Library is closed due to renovation 3.6.–6.8., self-service use is not possible. Due dates for loans and the last pick-up dates for reservations will be postponed to Monday 12.8. Reservations can be picked up from Kiiminki Library starting 4.6. 

Kello, Martinniemi, and Pateniemi Libraries have self-service access only 1.6.–6.8. 
Kastelli Library has self-service access only 21.6.–6.8. 
Yli-Ii and Ylikiiminki Libraries have self-service access only 21.6.–28.7. 

Koskela Library is closed 21.6.–4.8. Reservations can be picked up from Pekuri Library starting 26.6.

On the day before Midsummer’s Eve, 20.6., the libraries open no later than 10 and close by 16. During the Midsummer weekend, 21.–23.6., the libraries are closed, and the mobile libraries do not operate. Self-service libraries can be visited throughout Midsummer. A valid OUTI library card and PIN are required for entry during self-service hours. Libraries will not have customer service during self-service hours. 

Mobile libraries Kauno and Onneli operate according to their summer schedules. Mobile library Kauno’s break is on 1.–28.7. and Onneli’s break is on 24.6.–4.8. Mobile libraries’ full schedules can be found on the library’s website.
