The City of Oulu's Early Childhood Education Services conducts a customer survey every two years, aimed at the customers of municipal and private daycare centers, family daycare, preschool education, and open early childhood education clubs. This year's survey will be open from February 3-16, 2025.

The purpose of the survey is to collect feedback from guardians to improve the services. The survey is available in multiple languages: Finnish, Swedish, English, Ukrainian, Somali, Russian, and Arabic. Responses are given anonymously and handled confidentially.

  • Customers of municipal daycare centers and family daycare will receive a message via eVaka with instructions and a link to the survey.
  • Customers of private daycare centers' preschool education will also receive the announcement via eVaka. 
  • Directors of private daycare centers and family daycare providers will inform their customer families and distribute the survey announcement to guardians.

The results of the customer survey will be thoroughly reviewed with the early childhood education staff once they are completed. The results will also be presented to the Education Committee.

Key results will be communicated on the city's website and in a public webinar open to all residents in spring 2025.

Unit-specific results and development measures will be discussed with guardians in a manner chosen by the daycare center. The results will be used to develop early childhood education and pre-primary education activities.
