The city of Oulu’s Christmas greetings from the Rotuaari Christmas Forest
This year, Oulu’s Christmas market will be opened, and the city of Oulu’s Christmas declaration will be given in Rotuaari on Saturday December 7 at 12.00.
The city of Oulu’s Christmas declaration will be given by the City Board’s Vice Chairman Miina-Anniina Heiskanen. The event will be filled with Christmas music. And what kind of Christmas in Oulu would it be without the Star Boys?
The city creates and brings Christmas cheer to the citizens with mulled wine for the first 250 visitors. Santa Claus himself with his reindeer will make an appearance as well.
Oulu Christmas Market in Rotuaari and Kauppuri Square
You can take a breather in the midst of two hundred Christmas trees in the middle of your holiday shopping in the Oulu city centre. A Christmas Forest has been raised in Rotuaari. There will be programming, a fire site and sausage roasting on the weekends. The Christmas Forest is open 24/7 from December 1–26.
The Tierna Market’s familiar red cabins are present in the Kauppuri Square from Monday to Thursday from December 7–22 at 10.00–18.00, on Fridays at 10.00–19.00, and on Sundays at 12.00–18.00. The traditional Kädentaitajien Lahjapaja serves during the same opening times in three different locations: Saaristonkatu 13, Kirkkokatu, 23–25 and Kirkkokatu 27. They offer handcrafted items, Christmas treats and fun present surprises.
