The city of Oulu is collecting ideas from the citizens

If a citizen of Oulu comes up with a development idea, they can deliver it to the city through a single channel: www.ouka.fi/idea. 
Ideas can be sent starting from May 21, 2024. 

The idea form was created when the city of Oulu’s personnel’s ideation process was systematized. Development Director Veli-Matti Keloneva explains that a similar system for the ideas of the citizens was wanted. Now ideas are collected from the citizens in a similar way as well.  

Oulu10 is responsible for monitoring the ideas and an overview of the ideas is made monthly. From there, the ideas will be delivered to the responsible city sectors. 

According to Keloneva, it is possible that the best ideas could be rewarded in the future.  

“We have collected digital ideas from the citizens of Oulu and they have been really good and justified”, he states. 

It is obligatory to give your name on the idea form. You do not have to log in, but it would make it possible for the city to ask follow-up questions and hold dialogue between the idea giver and the city.
