Research Permits
Research Permits of the Educational and Cultural Services
A research permit is required for all studies, development projects and theses that collect or process information about customers or personnel of the Educational and Cultural Services. Educational and Cultural Services include the city of Oulu's daycare centres, comprehensive schools and upper secondary schools, Oulu Conservatory, Oulu-opisto, Oulu Art School, Youth Services, Sports Services and Cultural Services.
The purpose of the research permit is to ensure that the collection and use of research-related material takes place in compliance with ethical principles and legislation.
A research plan is attached to the research permit that is used to clarify the framework of the research and the purpose for which the collected research material will be used. Information sheets and consent forms for research participants are also attached to the research plan.
The signed research permit form with the attachments is submitted electronically to the city of Oulu Registry Office by email: kirjaamo@ouka.fi with the subject line "Research permit: Educational and Cultural Services".
We also always hope to receive a copy of the research once it is completed. The research paper or report is sent to the following address: Sivistys- ja kulttuuripalvelut/Tutkimusluvat, PL 17, 90015 OULUN KAUPUNKI.
