Oulu will join the national E-library on 1.1.2025

As of 1.1.2025, Oulu residents will have access to the services of both the national E-library and the Northern eLibrary, which has been available since 2022. 

Starting at the beginning of the new year, Finnish and foreign language e-books and audio books, as well as Finnish magazines, will be available in the E-library. The E-library can be used on a phone or tablet. The E-library app can be downloaded free from the app store. 

The Northern eLibrary continues to offer foreign language e-books and audio books, newspapers, foreign magazines, films, singing and music lessons, classical music and classical music documentaries and concerts. As usual, you these Northern eLibrary resources can be accessed in a browser with a library card and PIN. For some services, a free app is also available.
