Our daycare centre
The Mäntyrinne daycare centre started its operations in 1993. Our daycare centre is located in the quiet Patamäki area. Within walking distance there are e.g. Maikkula library, sports field, Oulujoki river and several park areas, which we use as learning environments with children. We have a large and versatile yard that inspires different kinds of games and games in any weather.
Mission statement
Our activities emphasise environmental education and sustainable development, as well as children's participation and a strengthening sense of community. We design play and learning environments that enable and encourage learning through play. Our activities are based on small group activities and positive pedagogy in all everyday situations.
We follow the early childhood education plan of the City of Oulu.
