Power outage map

• Preparedness instructions of the Finnish Red Cross The instructions of the Red Cross include, among other things, tips in case of a water supply failure and a power outage. The instructions also tell you how much extra food, water and supplies you should keep at home.
• How to save electricity, tips on energy saving for Finns (in Finnish) (Astetta alemmas -campaign) Astetta alemmas is the joint energy saving campaign of the central government. It offers concrete tips for saving energy and cutting electricity consumption peaks at home, at work and on the move.
• Households: How to prepare for power outages (www.​72tuntia.​fi) The 72h concept details the level of home preparedness recommended by the authorities and NGOs. Households should prepare to cope independently for at least three days should a disruption occur.
• Varmuuden vuoksi electronic magazine (in Finnish) (www.​varmuudenvuoksi.​fi) Varmuuden vuoksi is the National Emergency Supply Agency's electronic magazine that publishes articles and current information about security of supply.

The Wellbeing Services County of North Ostrobothnia (Pohde) is responsible for organising public health, social and rescue services for all residents in Oulu.

You will receive urgent care also during power outages. Substitution treatment and urgent mental health services are also available during a power outage. If you need urgent oral or dental care, you can receive treatment at Dentopolis in Kontinkangas.

If your non-urgent appointment is interrupted or canceled due to a power outage, a new appointment will be booked for you later. If you are visiting our unit during a power outage, please wait until you receive instructions from the staff.

Home care continues even during power outages. We separately take care of the safety of customers who cannot manage at home even for a short period without electricity.

Housing units for the elderly, disabled, and mental health and substance abuse clients are prepared for power outages.
