City Hall Opening Ceremony
A warm thank you to the visitors, organizers, and performers of the City Hall Opening Ceremony!
After three years of renovation, the newly opened City Hall welcomed nearly 17,000 visitors during the week. We want to express our gratitude to everyone who attended the event, participated in its organization, and performed, making for a successful celebration week at Oulu City Hall.
Almost 17 000 visitors attended the opening week
Nearly 200 participants were involved in planning and executing the opening week, and the diverse program attracted a total of 17,000 visitors to City Hall. Check out the photo gallery from the opening week in the Mun Oulu article.
Exhibition Spaces stays Open
The exhibition from the Museum of North Ostrobothnia that opened during the City Hall Opening Ceremony, Seurahuone – kaupunkilaisten talo, kuvia vuosien varrelta (fin. Social Club – the house of the citizens, pictures from along the years) will continue in the exhibition spaces until August 2025. The next exhibition during the Lumo Light Festival on Nov 22–24, 4–10 PM, features Juan Kasari's light installation Absence.
