Värikäs Ravintola - Colorful Restaurant

We are opening the highly popular pop-up event, Colorful Restaurant on Saturday, the 16th Nov 2024 at 11-16 at Pohjankartano School (Leevi Madetojankatu 1).

At the Colorful Restaurant event home chefs from several different countries will prepare delicious dishes of their home countries:
Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, China, Colombia, Latvia, Lebanon, Mexico, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Vietnam

Entry to the event is free. The food and pastries can be paid in cash. MobilePay may also be accepted by some home chefs. Prices are 1-5 euros.

Oulu at Your Service

The event will give you a comprehensive overview of the services and leisure activities offered by the City of Oulu and organisations in Oulu region. At the event, you will discover information useful for your everyday life at Oulu: Where to buy a bus card, find interesting events and multicultural activities, outdoor attractions, or boost for career after your graduation.

Oulu at Your Service will take place on Wednesday Oct. 2nd  2024 between 12-15.00 at the Career Centre lobby, on Linnanmaa campus (close to the green coat racks).

We welcome everyone to explore the variety of services and chat with experts from different fields!

Oulun Päivät - Oulu Days

Oulu Loves Me

Oulu loves me - Anti-racism week

The national anti-racism week takes place on week 12. This is due to 21 March being the UN's International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

A variety of activities will be organized in Oulu during the anti-racism week. The events will especially discuss respecting other people and intervening in racism.

Kahviklubi - Coffee Club

Kahviklubi ("Coffee Club") hosted by Villa Victor is organized every Wednesday between 14.00-16.00 at Villa's Akvaario ("Aquarium") space. Come talk in Finnish and spend a nice afternoon in great company. The themes of the discussions change weekly. You do not have to register in advance, you can just show up!

The first meeting of autumn season will be on Wednesday, Aug. 21st.

Villaa ylle -käsityökerho - Knitting and Crocheting Club

The Knitting and Crocheting Club is open for everyone and gathers in Villa's Akvaario at Oulu10 every Friday at 10.00-11.30.  You do not have to register in advance, just show up. You can bring your own project and knit or crochet in a great company. If you do not know how to knit or crochet, we will teach you the basics. We will lend you knitting needles or a crochet hook and yarn to get you started!

First meeting of autumn semester will be on Friday, Aug. 23rd.

Villa United Football Club for Men

You can join us to play football at Arina Areena in Heinäpää, Nuottasaarentie 12  every Monday and Thursday at 21.30 - 23.00. Club is free of charge.

Football shoes are required to join the games.

The club is organized in collaboration between the City of Oulu Sport Services, Multicultural Centre Villa Victor and Yökoris.

Welcome to get to know some more about the Romany culture and way of life. The main drivers are Rosita Lindgren, Laimi Lindgren and Rosita Lindgren. Romany café "Café Romano" is coming to Oulu10 every other Monday at 13. Along with the general presentations and exhibitions, there are specific themes for every occasion - always with the romany feeling served with a cup of coffee! The event is open to everyone. Note: the programme is in Finnish.
