Are you interested in the music as a profession?

At the Oulu Conservatory, you can study music in vocational education at the secondary level. The Musician qualification offers specializations in classical music, rhythm music, and church music. The qualification consists of 180 competence points.

This education is suitable for you if:

We require applicants to have:

• A certificate of completion of basic education
• Strong musical background: good playing or singing skills as well as musical theory skills 

Studies last for 3 years for applicants with a basic education background and 2 years for those who have already completed a secondary level qualification. It is also possible to complete individual parts of the qualification.

It's also possible to pursue a dual or triple qualification. This requires careful planning of studies, precise scheduling, and possibly a longer study period due to scheduling overlaps. More information on this can be obtained from the study counselor.
